For the demo at the end of this week’s Viz Review (watch the video here), we started by exploring the data. We built a few line charts and a heatmap to understand the data. We then decided to extend on some of the feedback that we gave to Kuldeep Ram for this viz he created and we reviewed.
We really liked how Kuldeep highlighted the hour of the maximum electricity usage for each weekday. We recommended that he make all of the data vizable though, that is, remove the weekday selector and show the weekdays left-to-right. He iterated and created this excellent makeover of his makeover.
During viz review, we took a slightly different approach, extending the recommendations we made farther by also breaking the data down by month. Here’s our version. Thanks for the inspiration Kuldeep! Keep up the excellent progress you’re making!!
