Recently in Singapore, there was an Academic Day co-hosted by the Info-communications Media Development Authority and Tableau. Students ranging from Junior/Secondary School to Post-Secondary School showcased their analytic curiosity through Tableau.
To educators and anyone unfamiliar with Tableau, it was another testament that analytics can truly be accessible to anyone of all ages who is curious about data.
Riding on this momentum, we want to challenge the Makeover Monday community to re-imagine one of the data sets that was used for the winning viz in the Post-Secondary category. It’s about building accessibility in Singapore, and whether the infrastructure we have is barrier free for anyone and everyone.
We hope that this challenge will entice our Singapore data community to participate and also connect with like-minded people around the world.
To facilitate participation for our Asia-Pacific community, we will publish the dataset on Sunday morning (GMT) of December 10 and also run a viz review webinar on Wednesday, 13 December at 8am GMT (4pm SGT) for everyone who is interested in getting some feedback from us on their visualization. To receive feedback, simply include the hashtag #MMVizReview when tweeting your #MakeoverMonday submission and then join the webinar live or on demand.
We will publish the data and a viz to makeover on Sunday so stay tuned for next week’s challenge.
